Erratic Podcast 58 - Truncate
There is really not much to say about our next guest that hasn't been said before - born and bred in LA, started DJing in his teens, part of the long-standing Droid family, techno prodigy and current forerunner in the genre, alter ego extraordinaire.... we are talking about TRUNCATE.
Most commonly know as Audio Injection, as well as for his pivotal affiliation across Droid and CLR over the last 5+ years, he came up with the Truncate alias and project 2 years ago. This was intended to be more of a personal outlet for him to release a deeper, funkier, Detroit-influenced, and stripped-down version of techno, but it has taken the techno community by storm since. From releases to remixes, gigs to podcasts, shirts to stickers, his alter ego is currently at an all-time high, and we are delighted David took time from his busy schedule to put together this exclusive studio mix for us.
As you are about to listen, the next hour is the epitome of what his project is all about - deep, jackin', rhythmic techno - that grabs you by the core and it is as much of a body workout as it is the minds. Without further adieu, ladies and gentlemen, this is Truncate.

Enquanto andamos iludidos, vivemos imersos numa realidade colorida e feliz, que só existe dentro do nosso cérebro, mas da qual sugamos uma energia fabulosa... a energia do sonho!
O problema da ilusão é quando ela acaba... aí, tomamos consciência da mentira que fabricámos e da qual nos alimentámos e percebemos que o que julgávamos maravilhoso, afinal, não existe.é Ilusão!
É como viver na luz e, no momento seguinte, mergulhar na escuridão.

O Sol não sabe o quão bom é, para mim, sentir-me quente por dentro!
Na 4ª feira passada, o Sol não veio... senti frio na Biblioteca!
Nesta 4ª feira, o Sol voltou a não aparecer... esteve escura a Biblioteca!
Não sei se o Sol virá na próxima 4ª feira...
Mas sei que há uma diferença entre as 4ª feiras em que o Sol não aparece:

A luz que irradia desse Sol aquece-me, cá dentro, a imensidão do hall de entrada, gélido, vazio....

This is the full recording of my last performance on the UNDERGROUND stage in DETROIT for the Movement Electronic music festival 2013. ive been attending the festival for over 12 years now and this year was by far one of the most memorable nights ive ever played in detroit. The bass on that stage is still till today the most intense things ive experienced in my whole DJ career. In order to continue playing we had to duct tape every piece of gear to the table and the faders on the mixer would not sit in one place ... although these technical issues presented problems in this recording. i decided to publish it as it is in order to preserve the memory of this day.
