DOCUMENTÁRIOS "Synth Britannia Documentary" e "Krautrock"
Esta semana fiz o download de dois documentários da BBC (qualidade garantida!) que me fizeram recordar a minha adolescência e de que gostei bastante: Synth Britannia Documentary e Krautrock.
No blog Braindance, de onde os retirei, sobre o primeiro diz o seguinte «Mais um belo documentário da BBC Four. "Synth Britannia" é um documento obrigatório para todos quantos gostam de música electrónica.
"Documentary following a generation of post-punk musicians who took the synthesiser from the experimental fringes to the centre of the pop stage.
In the late 1970s, small pockets of electronic artists including the Human League (...) or four lads from Basildon known as Depeche Mode would come to own the new sound whilst post-punk bands like Ultravox, Soft Cell, OMD and Yazoo took the synth out of the pages of the NME and onto the front page of Smash Hits.
By 1983, acts like Pet Shop Boys and New Order were showing that the future of electronic music would lie in dance music.
Contributors include Philip Oakey, Vince Clarke, Martin Gore, Bernard Sumner, Gary Numan and Neil Tennant."

Sobre o segundo, no mesmo blog diz o seguinte: «Género musical com génese da Alemanha no final dos anos 60, o Krautrock e que serviu de fonte de inspiração a bandas tão diversas como Joy Division, Einstürzende Neubaten, Sonic Youth), Cabaret Voltaire ou Stereolab, foi alvo de um magnífico documentário por parte da BBC, do qual tomei conhecimento via One fot the Treble Two for the Bass.»
E pronto, resta-me desejar-vos uma "boa viagem" no regresso aos anos 70 e 80, a uma parte da música da minha adolescência!!
